Long ago...in the faraway past
I walked with you through fields of grass
We gazed down on the changing sea
We loved so deeply....You and Me.
Our two hearts....would beat as "One"
As we stood beneath a brillant sun
Soulmates Forever.....down through time
Yes I was yours and you were mine.
I lost you then......one tragic day
For you were taken far away
But we knew that we would meet again
For our wonderous Love...could have no end.
Again we met in another place
You wore brocaded clothes and I wore lace
On a terrace grand.....we danced all night
Under a silvery moon and starlight bright.
We knew that we had met before
We spoke of living near that far off shore
I knew all your thoughts and you knew mine
For memories are carried...down thru Time.
But even tho our Love was very strong
We sensed our life together would not be long
The rabble mobs came and dragged you away
Thus I lost you on that fateful day.
Yet in our hearts we knew full well
Our Love had another story...still to tell
We vowed that we would link again
Because Our Love....can have no end.
Time went by......then Suddenly
I recognized You.....and you knew Me
This time we walked on desert sand
Palm trees swayed....in that hot, dry land.
But the winds of change told of violence near
My heart was filled with terrible fear
I knew I'd lose you......very soon
It happened one night, under a blood~red moon.
With sharpened knives they brought you down
Your lifeforce poured out...onto the ground
I held you close as you slipped away
Yet we vowed to meet on a distant day.
Now...many, many years have passed
I know we've met again...at Last
But You don't seem to know me now
I must MAKE you remember Me...somehow.
Don't you remember the far-off shore
With seagulls shreiking as they did soar
Can't you remember...how we danced
You held me close...as tho entranced.
Why can't you recall...that desert place
When you gazed in my eyes and held my face
I am glad you've forgotten your tragic fate
But Please remember Me...I'm your Soulmate.
I'm not sure I like...this modern world
Life now seems to be....in such a whirl
But...Please, Please...remember Me
We're together again....it's our DESTINY!!
