 "In GOD We Trust"

On September 11th ......My country was attacked by foreign terrorists!!
In horror & disbelief  I saw the huge hole in the first world trade tower. We thought some poor airliner had accidently crashed into it. This is what we ALL thought as we watched on television. Eighteen minutes later another plane flew into view and headed straight for the other tower!! Suddenly we all knew .......the United States was under attack!

As television stations all over the USA picked up the television feed....and CNN started also broadcasting all around the world.......the world stared also in shocked disbelief!! Nothing could have prepared the world for all we were to see this tragic and sorrow-filled day!

The devastation continued for hours until we all had headaches and were totally "heart-sick"!  Later in the day another building which had been on fire also collaspsed as had both Twin Trade towers.  We now knew 4 airplanes had been hi-jacked and all had been used for "Terror from the Sky!!!!"

The kindness of strangers helping strangers, both in New York City and at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. was so typically "American". When calls for people to donate blood went out all over the country some lines were 5 hours long. Americans everywhere hung out their flags....many went to churches to pray. In NYC they lost 1/2 of the firemen who rushed to the towers to give aid to the injured....about 200 men.

Our President has vowed that this terrorist act will not go unpunished!
We can not allow this to stand!! This was an "Act of War". Even today (9-12) information is piling up....as to who was behind this EVIL deed. We are no "Paper Tiger"!! In the hearts of Americans is  now deep sadness and deep, deep anger. We are glad to see the World is behind us in fighting this Evil. And the World  cries with us. The E/mails & reports from all around  the world has been amazing!! As Americans.....we all thank you for your concern, love & support.

But we as Americans have at hand a weapon more powerful than bombs, guns or missiles. We have the ability to Pray!!! Let no one under estimate the Power of Prayer!!! On our currency we have written..."In GOD we Trust". The opening of each day in Congress.... is started with prayer. How ironic that prayer.... has been taken out of our schools!


The children are now afraid! Their parents are also nervous..for who knows where or when the next "incident" will take place. But....we can not live in FEAR! If we do....if we change the way we live our lives then these terrorists will have achieved another goal...and that is to make us go around perpetually terrified. This.....WE must not do!

Our country may be off-balance right now....but we are not shattered. This terrorist act will not break us. For the heart of the American people is strong, our will is even stronger....and our spirit is like steel!!!! We shall "overcome" all of this. Our goverment & our allies & friends will work together to find the rest of these Monsters.  That is their job. But for us...we can do our part and Pray. That is our job. No terrorist can take away our freedom to Pray! It is the Weapon....of the "people"!  Not only of this country but of ALL countries around the World. It is the noblest thing you can do, it is the right thing to do....it is the only thing.....we all can do, as fellow human beings!!! Just as these event took place on 9-11.......We now need a Spiritual 911 call!!!!

We need to deeply know in our hearts and spirits....that Good will always triumph over Evil. We need to remember to "Keep the Faith" that "in GOD we Trust" and to keep the "Candle of Prayer"... always burning in our souls.

GOD BLESS AMERICA and  ALL who will stand with us in this fight against this VICIOUS EVIL.

I was totally shocked and appalled at what took place yesterday
All canadians were saddened that this would happen to our neighbours
we are suffering and praying right along with you and hope that nothing like
this ever touches us again. It is good to know dear friend that you have
been spared and I hope your family and friends have been as well. Just know
that your neighbours are grieving right along with you

Sky....Please accept the condolences, love and prayers from 'down under' on this
terrible occasion. As a past emergency worker (26 years ambulance paramedic,
5 years firebrigade , 5 years police officer) I am suffering in my own way
for the loss of your emergency workers, knowing full well why they were there
- with the inherent danger. I have relatives in USA, thankfully nowhere near
the areas involved, so feel the shock that you must be feeling for these
acts.
I know you will recover and be stronger but we suffer your grief with you and
just like you to know.

Dear Sky,
  We are very sad and angry of what happened. I wish this thing did not happen at all. Why are these people so angry at America? I think America is a very great country.  I feel very sorry for the victims and their family. We pray for them. We hope there will be more survivors from the debris.

Dear Sky
I am new at computers, and I am so thankful that we do have them, so we can console so many people. I thank you so much for putting this on the internet, so others can hear and see words of grief, love and caring that is needed all over the world. I was in Columbus , Ohio for the death of a loved one, that terrible day. So  to the prayers for my own family, were added prayers for thousands of others.
