~ More Idiots, Thugs, Mad Dogs & the Media! ~

Well talk about "shooting yourself in the foot or should I say in your "big mouth" The Dixie Chicks...go to London and bad-mouth the President and in less than 12 hours..people in USA are throwing out their CD's...radio stations, won't play their music and their popularity is still plummeting! Bye-bye,Chicks! You sure laid an egg!

The Saddam Fedeyeen thugs, still abound in Iraq, terrorizing, torturing and executing the Iraqi people. Suicide bombers are now on the scene posing an additional threat to our troops! Yet the Protestors, here in the USA...still continue their disturbances around the country. In San Francisco, it has gotten to the point, where they burned the American flag, threw rocks and urinated in the streets! Over 1000 were hauled off to jail, where they promptly started complaining about bathroom privileges and the food! Yet our troops are fighting and dying, so these "dissidents"...can pee in the streets to express how much they are against violence and the war! (What.. is wrong with this picture!?)

The newest "Mad Dog" I have seen on TV.. is the "Ministry of Information" jerk, Al- Sahaf, I call him "Baghdad Billie"! Never in my life have I seen, anywhere, the unbelievable rhetoric this guy can spew out! He called Secty. Rumsfeld..a "crook".. "a cheap guy"...and today I heard him call everyone in the entire Bush administration.. "BASTARDS"! Not once...but 3 times! Americans are all called "criminals'...and he vows.. God will make sure we are all killed in Jihad! I guess on  Arab TV....anything goes and you can say all manner of hateful, untrue things and it passes as "news-worthy' to broadcast out over the airwaves!

Then...there is our own media...who ask, beyond a doubt, the stupidest questions I have ever heard! Examples: "How soon will the war be over. "How come we don't have a good war plan? etc, etc, etc. Peter Arnett, of NBC gave an interview to Iraqi state TV and then said. "the war plan has failed!" NBC fired him and so did National Geographic! Like he has a clue what the "War Plan even is! Only the top Generals and the Secty Of Defense and the President...know the "Plan"! Yet on TV....we have "retired" Generals, some of whom are excellent and some of them need to go play golf and get off television, due to their "un-informed remarks! This war has turned into a TV Production, with each news channel looking for the highest ratings! They used to say, "Old soldiers never die, they just fade away." These generals haven't faded, they now are Commentators & TV stars! (Oh Please,  May I have your autograph, Dear General?)

Personally, I think there is too much talk on TV...too much information given, even to us, the public. We don't have a "need to know"...everything, all the time! I see too much talk from the "embedded" journalists, on TV. An exception: Dr. Peter Arnot of NBC-TV. We also get to see, all the protestors around the world, shouting in the streets, burning our flag, yelling "Jihad"! Al Jareeza TV shows nothing but Iraqi wounded and dead, no pictures of our troops bringing food, water, medicine to the People. It is no wonder, the Arab world is aflame, when they see Al Jazerra TV. Which now... has been kicked out of Baghdad!! We are now, positioned to 'knock on the doors of Baghdad' and we sure aren't there...to be selling Girl Scout Cookies!!!

It is wonderful to finally see..Help, reaching the Iraqi people and the smiles on the faces of children. The most fun I see on TV...is when our troops, bull-doze over a picture of Saddam! I always yell... "Hooray" and clap my hands, like a kid!! I just can't help myself and wonder if anyone else, does the same thing. Maybe I am getting daft, in my old age!

All I know is this: It is most important to "keep the faith", as the old 60's expression says, but in this case...it goes beyond that simple phrase. We must hold fast to the knowledge, that no matter what is happening around the world, protestors, screaming invectives against America and the war, that this War is JUST! We are not after land...we are not after oil, we are after WMD, getting rid of Saddam and giving the Iraqi people a freedom they have not know, in decades! Nothing will stop this "cause". We have the steely resolve to keep going! Our troops  have shown how incredible they are. The Brits and Aussies are superb and together all these troops make an AWESOME "team". Each country, doing, what they do best. Below is a quote that is attributed to Colin Powell. If he didn't say it...someone sure did, because it expresses so well, the TRUTH!

When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building by George Bush.

 He answered by saying that, "Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return."

Amen..to that....Secretary Powell! We are not into "Empire Building", we are into FREEDOM! Let the whole world scream at us, but we shall "keep the faith" and hold on to the fact, that righteousness & truth, shall always prevail!! We All need to have "the eye of the tiger", "the heart of a lion" and know, in the end Justice will win, Truth will win! Our prayers, soar to the heavens, "Lord, protect "the Troops of the Coalition & the Iraqi people who now are helping us!" Amen.  Sela.
